Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career at a young age. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. The audience was impressed by her performance as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra's professional career has included work on a number of significant national and international productions. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
