Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead role in several TV dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra has been involved in numerous significant international and national productions over the years. The projects include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
